Keith Haring Gesture Paintings (Day 2) – Sketchbook Day

Keith Haring was an artist who began his career by drawing chalk drawings on the empty advertising frames of the New York Subway. He was very prolific during his short life and his iconic figures can be found on murals, paintings, T-Shirts, and prints.

In the last class, students made a chalk drawing using the Roll a Haring game found on Teachers Pay Teachers.

Sketching the Figure

For this class, I demonstrated how to use a paper mannequin to visualize a pose and had students make 3-4 sketches in their sketchbook.
